Known issues this rebuild kit should fix:

Rough or surging idle
-
A dirty throttle plate can cause rough idling issues, we highly recommend cleaning the plate before trying our kit
-
These modules can have other issues so there is no guarantee this kit will restore your ETM
Additional Notes:
- To ensure the success of this kit, it is VERY important that your ETM (electronic throttle module) truly has a worn sensor.
- There is a somewhat simple test you can do to check, unfortunately it will destroy the old sensor in the process:

Remove the old sensor (see photo of throttle body with blue lid)

Pull the old carbon strip out and hold it to the light (please see photo provided for an idea of what you’re looking for)

If you CAN SEE light through the black part of the strip then this kit SHOULD FIX your problem.

If you CANNOT SEE through it then you may have a bad ETM (internal computer fault) and this kit MAY NOT FIX your problem.
