So far, so good!

It’s only been about a month since reinstalling my overhauled ABS module on my 2nd Gen. Dodge Ram Cummins but, so far, so good. Everything so far is functioning as advertised. This is actually the second (similar) unit that I’ve sent into Module Master in the past year or so and the first one is still going strong without any ‘hiccups’ in our other Dodge truck. This module too, has solved my previous ‘ABS' and ‘BRAKE’ light problem with the dash lights having come on virtually every other trip.

Here’s my ONLY gripe with the service this particular time:

I had specifically asked the technician in my notes (supplied with the module) to PLEASE send any stored fault code(s) back with my repaired module for reference so I’d know exactly what was going on prior to the repair. As most people with these trucks already know, the 2nd Gen. Dodges don’t read out ABS codes through the OBD port as would routinely be the case with other vehicles. You have to have a very specific diagnostic capability (Chrysler DB-3 scanner) or, one of only a couple of other ‘high-end’ scanners on the market that can actually read out the ABS codes from these modules. They are extremely cost prohibitive scanners for the average home mechanic to purchase. I would hope in the future that any/all codes found during overhaul would automatically be provided as a courtesy to the customer for determining any potential repeat problems and/or, to help further diagnostics and repair should that become necessary.

Other than that, everything is ‘peachy’ so far and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this repair service to anyone who needs it. The quality of the actual repairs to these modules shows wonderful attention to detail, including thorough cleaning and resealing of the module afterward.

I had a red brake light and a yellow anti lock light. Sent Kelsey Hayes the module and presto both of them are gone. Thanks for a great job!
