Attention:

This rebuild service requires that you:

  • Verify that your module matches the product photo

    • If your module is outside the '07 or newer range, but matches the product photo, this rebuild service still applies.

  • Remove your module

    • Control module, pump, and motor MUST be sent in

  • Carefully pack and ship it to us - Instructions

    • To prevent brake fluid from leaking all over, place module/hydraulic unit into several plastic bags

    • Place any paperwork into a zip-lock bag to prevent brake fluid from making any information illegible

  • We rebuild it and ship it back to you

  • Re-install your module and get back on the road

    • IMPORTANT: Reprogramming the module onto a motorcycle that is not the original can sometimes cause the EPROM to fail, triggering a permanent coding error. To avoid this, we suggest using the original control module if possible.

    As advertised.. GREAT EXPERIENCE

Was so happy to have my ABS module rebuilt by Module Master. They confirmed my module was faulty, took care of the necessary repair work, and had it back to me perfectly functional before the promise date. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a faulty module.

Don't give up yet if your BMW stop light stays on

Well I just want to say the staff at Module Master from management; to my technician Jess and all the girls on the phone are patient, very nice and on top of things and responsive; to begin that has to be said.
The 2007 BMW r1200r I just bought had a dreaded common “ Brake failure” warning light all the time, I was told by the seller, it worked fine, and It seemlike it did, I never tested it by slamming on the brakes, but I was good with it, after all it was a 20 year old motorcycle. Not perfect. I was going to live with it, and ready to bypass the ABS altogether, with little parts at the ready.
But, suddenly while on the center stand testing the ‘integrated” brake featured for that series of ABS known as I ABS2, the rear braking worked for 3 tries and then no more. Who cares right?
    But.
The worst part was the stop light is staying on, even with the ABS repairs, I was told this was a death sentence because it was the ZFE failure ( stop light staying on and the SBE failure light are 2 different issues) , for those not knowing what this is, as I did not know unit now, it’s the main computer; that is cost prohibitive to replace , upwards of $1800 US and the dealers here in the US will not work on my bike , which is “too old”, so how to program? Hit or miss… find an independent?.
Almost gave up, and contemplated parting out the bike I just got, mini nightmare!
Well, hearing about Module Master, I was not going to give out without trying the obvious. Yes my version of ABS is notorious for the motor brushes not making contact on the commutator, as many YouTube vids would attempt to repair with varying degree of hacking.
No hack here for a reasonable ~$270.00 and insurance, shipping etc, I could rule out the unit.
Thanksgiving 2025 delayed the repair slightly, but when I got the unit back, I inspected it, well packed, ports sealed with proper plastic covers and the drilling and tapping of the valve body motor interface were teeniest, 4 set screws to hold down the motor on all 4 corners was the most ingenious method of tackling the motor/ valve body interface.
Long to short, took the day to gently reinstall the unit bled it with my Motoscan app and the OBD LX reader. Done
Surprise! Stop light when out, took 3 tries to get a hard front brake lever, 1 try for the rear, done!
Module Master save another BMW from being an organ donor, let the ridin' begin!

    R1200RT ABS rebuild

Works like a charm. Was experiencing intermittent hard lever pull. Took the ABS unit out, sent it to Module Master. The next week it was already heading back to me. Put it back in and brakes are like new.
