iABS2 (iABSII) Rebuild for BMW Motorcycle Rebuild

$250.00

This rebuild requires removing your module. Click here for more info.

IMPORTANT:  When sending in your module and hydraulic unit please make sure that the unit is wrapped in several layers of plastic and any paperwork you send in is placed in a separate zip-lock bag.  This is important as any brake fluid that leaks will erase anything that is written down.  Thank you.

The Rebuild Process for BMW iABS2:

Full preliminary bench test of your BMW iABS2 module to determine faults
Rebuild and sustained performance testing of the faulty iABS2 module
Final test on our test fixture to ensure no more failures
5 business day in-shop repair time
Covered by our 5-year warranty against return failure

More Information:

BMW's iABSII (also known as 2nd generation integrated ABS, aka iABS2) performs partial integrated braking functionality (meaning that when the front brake is applied, the module automatically applies the rear brake as well).

Common faults:

  • Low voltage faults
  • Code 24048 (5DF0)
  • Code 24049 (5DF1)
  • Power supply to pump motor faults
  • Pump motor fault

Less common faults:

  • We are unable to repair pressure sensor faults at this time but we do offer core replacements (for an additional charge); please contact us for more info
  • If your problem is 'no communication', we are unable to fix your existing module at this time but we do offer core replacements (for an additional charge); please contact us for availability

You must send the entire unit as shown in the photo. If your bike is outside of the 2007 or newer year range, but has this same electronic-hydraulic unit, it still applies to this rebuild service. Please call 888-892-0764 if you have any questions.

IMPORTANT:  When sending in your module and hydraulic unit please make sure that the unit is wrapped in several layers of plastic and any paperwork you send in is placed in a separate zip-lock bag.  This is important as any brake fluid that leaks will erase anything that is written down.  Thank you.

IMPORTANT: In rare cases, reprogramming these modules onto a different motorcycle than the original can cause the EPROM to fail, and it will trigger a permanent coding error. To avoid this as much as possible, we suggest using the original control module whenever possible.
