Tools Required

• Wheel lug wrench
• Car jack
• 10mm socket wrench
• T20 Torx driver

1) Loosen the lug nuts of the driver's front wheel.

2) Jack up the car and remove the driver's front wheel.

4) Remove the windshield washer fluid reservoir.

5) Carefully disconnect the electrical connector from the module.

Note: If the main connector has 15 pins or less, and there are two wires connecting the module to the pump which cannot be unplugged (hard wired), you have an ESP module which cannot be repaired. For an image of an ESP module click here. Do not remove your module if it matches the above description.

6) If both electrical connectors can be unplugged, remove the six T-20 Torx screws holding the module to the hydraulic unit.

7) Remove the module.

8) Cover the exposed surface of the hydraulic unit with aluminum foil.
